Submission Guidelines

Scientific Abstract Guidelines

These guidelines are the text to publish on the Submission Guidelines page and to link from every Submit Abstract button. Authors must be able to read them in full before opening the submission form.

1. Scope and eligibility

  • — Abstracts must report original work that has not been published or presented at another international conference before 16 March 2027.
  • — Each author may be the presenting author on one abstract only, but may appear as a co-author on any number of others.
  • — The presenting author must be registered for the conference by the registration deadline; unregistered presenters are withdrawn from the programme.
  • — Select one primary thematic area; you may also select one secondary area.
  • — Indicate a preferred presentation type (oral or poster). The Scientific Committee makes the final allocation.

2. Required structure

  • — Title — maximum 20 words, sentence case, no abbreviations, no full stop. Do not include the study design in the title unless it is essential.
  • — Authors and affiliations — full given name and family name for every author; superscript numerals linking each author to an institution, city and country; one corresponding author marked with an asterisk and a valid email address.
  • — Structured body — 300 words maximum, covering Introduction and Objective; Materials and Methods; Results; Conclusion. Review and position abstracts may use Background; Approach; Key Findings; Conclusion.
  • — Results must contain actual data — means, percentages, effect sizes, and the statistical test with p-values or confidence intervals. Abstracts stating only “results will be presented at the conference” are rejected without review.
  • — Keywords — three to five, separated by semicolons, not repeating words from the title.

3. Formatting and file requirements

  • — Submit as a single Microsoft Word file (.docx) using the official template; PDF and scanned files are not accepted.
  • — Times New Roman 12 pt, single line spacing, A4 page, 2.5 cm margins, no headers, footers or page numbers.
  • — No tables, figures, images or reference lists in the abstract. Up to two references may be cited in-text in parentheses (Author, Year).
  • — Define every abbreviation at first use; SI units throughout; scientific names in italics with the full name at first mention.
  • — File name format: PrimaryAuthorSurname_short title_country.docx (example: Rahman_antibiotic residue_Bangladesh.docx).

4. Language and style

  • — Abstracts are accepted in English only. Authors are responsible for language quality; abstracts that cannot be understood on first reading are returned without review.
  • — Write in the past tense for methods and results, and the present tense for conclusions.
  • — State the conclusion as a finding supported by the data, not as an intention or a claim of novelty.
  • — Do not include commercial product names, trade marks or promotional language.

5. Ethics, originality and disclosure

  • — Studies involving animals must state the approving ethics committee and the approval number; studies involving humans must confirm informed consent.
  • — Text generated wholly by artificial-intelligence tools is not acceptable; any use of such tools in preparing the abstract must be disclosed to the Scientific Committee.
  • — Declare all funding sources and any conflict of interest. If there is none, state “The authors declare no conflict of interest.”
  • — Submission confirms that all listed authors have seen and approved the abstract and consent to its publication in the conference proceedings.

6. Submission, review and notification

  • — Abstracts are submitted only through the online submission portal. Email submissions are not accepted.
  • — Reviewers recommend acceptance as an oral presentation, acceptance as a poster, revision, or rejection. The Committee's decision is final.
